Yamaha reshapes its Grizzly

E-better, first it was EFI now it's EPS. One of the best selling 4x4 utilities just got better. Yamaha introduced the 2007 Grizzly 700 to the media in mid-June at the awesome Paws Up resort (www.pawsup.com) in beautiful Montana and the new machine is impressive. Sporting a bigger 686cc motor and most importantly, the Grizzly became the first production ATV to be equipped with Electronic Power Steering (EPS).

The practically reinvented 4x4 was a crowd pleaser and should retain its grip on the market as Yamaha fixed just about all of its vices and improved most of its virtues. You read more about the tougher bear in our September issue, until then let your eyes feast on these images...

Only a passing resemblance to the Grizzly of old.

Ground clearance is no problem with the unique bend to the A-Arms.

Yamaha's EPS promises to rewrite the handling rules.

Improved shifting, the simpler and easier to use Gate Shifter.

The new mill has enough juice to please trail hounds - Pat Biolsi demonstrates.

More storage - this one is in the right front fender.

Electronic Power Steering.

Worth a thousand words - the new powerplant.

If camo is your thing, the new 700 won't hide your smile.

And it is a capable worker too.
